GREEN BAY, Wisc. – In response to a foiled Columbine-type plot uncovered this fall, an updated security plan is being considered by the Green Bay School Board.
For the first year, the cost would be $219,000 and would involve posting guards at the entrances/exits of all of the district’s K-12 schools. Additionally, students would be required to wear their identification cards, and security cameras would be installed at the elementary schools.
Approval of the plan could come as early as this week.
