A University of California Irvine (UCI) graduate student has been arrested and charged with killing a 30-year-old woman on campus. The woman was identified as the student’s ex-wife.
The shooting took place on Sept. 13 in a campus parking lot. The man allegedly shot the woman multiple times.
The couple allegedly began arguing after the victim met the student in the parking lot to make custody arrangement for their 4-year-old son. The woman had full custody to the child but had allowed the father visitation rights.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the shooting and is held on $1 million bail.
