ATLANTA – Private university police may soon be required to maintain open records if a bill making its way through the Georgia General Assembly gets voted into law.

Adelman was prompted to propose the bill when a sexual assault victim was denied access to Mercer University’s police reports.
In mid-January, the bill came out of the judiciary committee to the floor without any opposition.
