Through countless discussions with Campus Safety, school and college leaders have shared their struggles of writing winning grant applications as many campuses do not have dedicated grant writers. Applying for grants is extremely time-consuming and involves multiple stages, including research, proposal writing, and administrative tasks.

To relieve some of this burden, we’ve added one-on-one grant consultations to 2025 Campus Safety Conference, happening July 21-23 in Austin, Texas. If you have a project you are working on, questions about where to start, or need help navigating an open process, representatives from the Grants Office, LLC will provide free 20-minute consultations to a limited number of attendees.

Additional Grant Writing Resources

Grant writing is very nuanced and best practices can vary depending on the type of grant. Several years ago at the Campus Safety Conference, we spoke with Ashley Schultz, a grants development consultant for Grants Office, LLC, about what types of technologies are fundable with grants and also the advantages and disadvantages of teaming up with law enforcement to apply for a campus technology grant. See the interview below and read the accompanying article here.
