Former K.C. Nurse Arrested for Sexual Assault of Patients

Dennis E. Clark faces multiple counts of sex crimes in two different cases stemming from his time at Menorah Medical Center and Providence Medical Center.

A man who worked as a nurse at two Kansas City hospitals over the last five years was arrested June 15 and faces several allegations of sexually assaulting patients.

Police charged Dennis E. Clark with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, aggravated criminal sodomy and attempted aggravated criminal sodomy, all crimes he allegedly committed as a nurse at Menorah Medical Center. Last year Clark was charged with sex crimes with four women from his time working at Providence Medical Center.

The new charges stem from incidents that allegedly took place in 2010 and 2011. The old charges came from alleged incidents that occurred after his December 2013 hiring at Providence Medical Center.

The Kansas State Board of Nursing said it had received complaints about Clark during his time at Menorah Medical Center but nothing could be proved and he was not disciplined, according to kansascity.com. He was hired at Providence after passing background checks.

Clark has a preliminary hearing for his old charges scheduled for June 25 and is in jail facing $500,000 bond for the new charges brought against him.
