Former Police Officer Accused of Robbing Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A former officer who worked for 30 years at the Texas A&M University Police Department was arrested for burglarizing campus buildings.

A detective checking pawn shop activity traced items stolen from the university back to John Phillips, WTAW.com reports. A search of Phillips’ home revealed more stolen items and keys to campus buildings.

Phillips retired from the university police department in Feb. 2007.
