CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Seven former hospital police officers filed a lawsuit against Erlanger Health System alleging that they were fired due to age or race.
Last year, the health system shut down its police department and hired Walden Security in its place, The Chattanoogan reports. The officers had the opportunity at the time to apply with the new security company, according to Pat Charles, an Erlanger spokesperson.
The lawsuit was filed by Jerry Lawrence, Gary Talley, Harold Holliday, Kenneth Cookston, Ronald Capetz, Gary Avans and Rodney Patton.
