Published: September 16, 2009

A former security officer at Easton Hospital admitted to sexually assaulting a coworker in the basement of the hospital in 2007, reports themorningcall.com.

Thirty-eight-year-old Ralph Robles had been working for the hospital for seven years when a hospital switchboard operator said he forced her to perform a sex act Jan. 7, 2007, while she worked alone in the basement.

The woman, who is black, said Robles had been harassing her sexually and about her race. She said she told several hospital employees about her harassment; however, no one took action, according to the news outlet.

Robles pleaded guilty to misdemeanor indecent assault in a plea bargain. The victim has filed a federal lawsuit against Robles, Easton Hospital and several of its administrators over the incident. It is currently unresolved.
