Florida Student Dies in High School Shooting

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A Dillard High School sophomore was shot to death in the hallway of her campus Nov. 12.

The body of Amanda Collette, 15, was discovered by a school resource officer around 11 a.m. According to the Associated Press,no one heard the shooting, and no major wound was initially found on the victim’s body.

A female classmate was arrested by authorities in a nearby restaurant shortly after the shooting. The two girls were fighting before the suspect allegedly shot Collette.
