Flat Tires on Buses Cause Michigan District to Cancel Classes

Published: January 4, 2007

FARMINGTON, Mich. -Farmington Public School officials discovered Jan. 5 than more than half of the district’s buses had flat tires. As a result, classes had to be cancelled for the day.

This is the third time in three weeks vandals have let the air out of Oakland County suburban school district vehicles. Classes at West Bloomfield Schools were canceled Dec. 18 when officials there discovered the tires of 50 district buses were flat. On Dec. 20, the Waterford School District also cancelled classes for the same reason.

Two teenagers are suspected of the Waterford vandalism incident. No suspects have been identified for the other two cases.
