AUSTIN, Texas – A University of Texas (UT) student was arrested on Saturday after he flew his drone over the Longhorn’s football home opener.
The drone, which had red and green lights on it, flew above Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, reports KXAN.
UT Police spotted the unmanned aerial vehicle, found its operator and then arrested him. He was later released. No charges have been filed.
The laws regulating drones are evolving, although FAA rules often apply to their use.
