District Security Head Steps Down

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Jim Caldwell, the head of security for DeSoto County Schools, is stepping down from his post. He will be focusing his efforts on a bid for sheriff this fall.

Caldwell’s resignation will be effective June 30, The Commercial Appeal reports. The district has not yet selected a replacement.

Caldwell has been security coordinator for the district for seven years, and previously served in the Southaven Police Department for 15 years.
