DELAWARE — The Controlled Substances Advisory Committee in Delaware is moving to ban fake bath salts which mimic the effects of cocaine, LSD or methamphetamine.
The committee planned an emergency meeting on Friday to consider an immediate ban on the substances used to produce the bath salts, Reuters reports. The fake bath salts are typically purchased at tobacco shops, gas stations, and online.
The bath salts are smoked, snorted or injected and can produce an intense high, euphoria, extreme energy, hallucinations or insomnia, according to the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
