Published: June 14, 2007

LOS ANGELES – Campus Safety (CS) Magazine, the only publication exclusively serving the public safety and security needs of hospitals, schools and universities, will present a Web seminar titled “Mass Notification: Effective Solutions for Campus Communication” on Tuesday, June 19. The event is sponsored by Cooper Wheelock, a leader in mass notification solutions.

Recent events have campus security officials and administrators – from K-12 to colleges, universities and hospital campuses – evaluating their ability to communicate effectively in the event of an emergency. Moderator Robin Hattersley Gray, CS’ executive editor, says, “This is the Web event to attend if you are interested in discussing today’s campus security challenges, especially why campuses need more reliable mass-notification systems.”

During this Web seminar, participants will have the opportunity to interact with several leading mass notification experts, including: Bill Sako, executive vice president, the RJA Group; Lei Wei, professor, electrical engineering and computer science, University of Central Florida; and Dr. Alan Avidan, senior vice president and founder, MadahCom. Participants will also see the results of benchmarking polls, learn effective mass communication strategies for handling emergencies, and gain valuable insight into campus communication solutions.
