Crisis Prevention Institute to Hold International Conference

BROOKFIELD Wis. -The Crisis Prevention Institute Inc. (CPI) will hold its 12th International Instructors’ Conference in St. Louis July 30 – August 4.

The Adam’s Mark St. Louis is the site of the conference, which will bring together hundreds of professionals from around the world, each of them a Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Certified Instructor.

These professionals will gather to hear keynotes from Dave Pelzer (A Child Called “It”) and Michael Dorn (Weakfish: Bullying Through the Eyes of a Child). Additionally, attendees will refresh and renew their skills in CPI’s training programs, and attend sessions, such as A Public Health Approach to the Management of Workplace Violence; The Bus Stops Here: Preventing Problems and Disruptions in the Transportation of Students or Clients; and Working With Clients With Dementia.

According to a statement released by CPI, attendees will be able to explore relevant trends specific to the challenges of their professions, as well as network with other instructors from around the world. The conference will also feature an international panel on global standards, strategies, and solutions, with contributors from the United States, England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
