NEW YORK — It could cost the New York University Langone Medical Center an estimated $700 million to $1 billion to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.
The estimate includes cleanup, rebuilding, lost revenue, interrupted research projects and employee salaries, reports the New York Times. NYU Langone had to evacuate hundreds of patients after its backup generators fail and lost years of valuable medical research.
