Students, staff and faculty at Cornell University are on alert as a result of three confirmed suicides in less than a month on the campus.

School officials found the body of William Sinclair, a sophomore engineering student, at the bottom of a rugged gorge below the Thurston Avenue Bridge on March 11, reports the New York Times. His body was found in the same vicinity as freshman Bradley Ginsburg, whose body was discovered Feb. 17.

A day after investigators discovered Sinclair’s body, witnesses saw junior engineering student Matthew Zika leap off the same bridge. Zika’s body has not been recovered.

University officials have posted security officers on the six bridges across the gorges on campus. Officials sent E-mail blasts to 35,000 students, faculty and staff members.
