NORFOLK, Mass. – A school cafeteria worker has been arrested for threatening to shoot up the school over a batch of burned baked goods.
The incident occurred Friday when Wendy Ferris, 46, said she would shoot up King Philip Middle School with an AK-47. Witnesses say she was angry because one of her co-workers rebaked cookies she had made because they were overcooked, reports MyFoxBoston.com.
The comments were made to Ferris’ manager. Similar threats were also made earlier in the day.
She was arraigned on Monday, where she pleaded not guilty to charges of threatening to commit a crime, reports the Boston Globe. The judge in the case set Ferris’ bail at $5,000 and ordered her to stay away from the school and its staff.
