Colo., Wash. Colleges Won’t Allow Weed on Campus

DENVER and SEATTLE — Although voters in Colorado and Washington approved to legalize marijuana last week, university officials in both states have no intention of changing no tolerance policies any time soon.

The federal government still considers marijuana illegal. With the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act in place, if a university knowingly and willingly allows illegal substance use on campus, it risks losing federal funding, reports USA Today.
