Christian School Student Charged With Murder of Principal
MEMPHIS — A 17-year-old student from Memphis Junior Academy has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of the of school’s principal on Aug. 10.
Eduardo Marmolejo allegedly stabbed Suzette York multiple times at the Christian school, MSNBC reports. Marmolejo told investigators York had made him angry and he knew he was going to be alone with her in a classroom, which gave him an opportunity to attack her.
Police found York’s body at 11 a.m. on the day of the stabbing. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
