CINCINNATI—A laptop containing more than 61,000 patient records was stolen from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

The information was stolen from a hospital employee’s personal vehicle, which was parked in front of the employee’s home in late March, according to Cincinnati.com. Police were immediately notified of the theft.

The records were password-word protected, but not encrypted.
