Changes Planned For U of Wisconsin Hospital Security

MADISON, Wisc. – On July 1, University Wisconsin (UW) Campus Police plans to relinquish management of security at UW Health and Clinics.

According to UW Health officials, they are looking for a management team with healthcare and hospital security expertise. The change is being implemented because UW Health is expanding, and officials want to improve service and continuity.

Officers currently working at the hospital will be offered jobs under the new arrangement, and their duties will, for the most part, stay the same. This means that UW Campus Police may lose some officers to the hospital.
