CASPER, Wyo. — The 25-year-old man that executed a bow-and arrow-attack on a professor at Casper College Friday was the victim’s son.
Around 9 a.m. on Nov. 30, Christopher Krumm barged into his father’s computer science class and shot him in the head with a high-powered bow and arrow. The victim, James Krumm, 56, then fought with his son to give his students time to escape from the classroom, the Associated Press reports. During the struggle, Christopher Krumm fatally stabbed his father in the chest.
Police found the attacker bleeding from self-inflicted knife wounds and taking his last breaths when they arrived at the classroom. Prior to the incident on campus, Christopher Krumm had fatally stabbed his father’s live-in girlfriend, 42-year-old Heidi Arnold, who was a math instructor at the college, at the couple’s home. Her body was found in the gutter of her street.
Investigators said Christopher Krum had recently driven to Casper from Connecticut. It is unknown what motivated the attack.
