CampusSafetyMagazine.com Launches Optimized Web Site for Smartphones

Published: July 10, 2013

Campus protection professionals, executives and administrators can now view all CampusSafetyMagazine.com content on a Web site optimized for their smartphones.

Users of iPhones, Android phones or Windows phones will automatically be directed to the optimized site when they enter “CampusSafetyMagazine.com” in their device’s browser. The optimized site doesn’t load on tablets such as the iPad.

“Internet access is moving more and more toward mobile devices, and Campus Safety Magazine is embracing this trend with our new optimized mobile Website,” says CS Executive Editor Robin Hattersley Gray.

The mobile site presents CampusSafetyMagazine.com content in a clean, easy-to-use format. The site offers the latest in news, articles, blogs, photo galleries, videos and products. Users can access topical areas such as security technology, mass notification, university security, school safety and hospital via a top navigation bar.

A scrollbar shows the latest articles with photos. Below the scrollbar, users will find a top news item followed by other news, blogs, and products. The site also offers photo and product sections with thumbnail images and scrollbars.

“It contains all of the latest content in a format that is easy to read with no zooming required,” says Hattersley Gray. “I’m a smartphone user myself, and I think our Web design and development team did a great job producing a mobile site that captures all of the qualities of CampusSafetyMagazine.com in a condensed design.”
