Campuses Continue to Invest in Emergency Notification Systems and Upgrades

More than half of university and hospital respondents say that new-hire orientation is one of the most effective ways to attract campus employees to sign up for their text messaging programs. Overall, 46% of respondents now find it one of the most effective, compared to only 34% in 2010. Nearly two out of three (65%) university respondents say that new student orientation is one of the most effective approaches. Automatic enrollment with an opt-out option is much more popular now than it was four year ago. Overall, a third of respondents find it to be one of the most effective ways to encourage participation, compared with only 16% in 2010.
