For more than 12 years now, American troops have been serving valiantly in both Iraq and Afghanistan. While there, they’ve not only carried out countless acts of heroism, but also experienced firsthand unimaginable horrors, tragedies, heat, cold and sand storms. They’ve missed wedding anniversaries, the births of children and more.

It’s understandable then that when their tours of duty are over, many experience significant challenges going back to civilian life. Hospitals and colleges may struggle to accommodate these very deserving veterans.

U.S. Army Major General Robert Nabors, Ret. will deliver the 10 a.m. keynote on this very topic at the Campus Safety National Forum on Thursday, June 25. His address will cover the changing identity and nature of our nation’s veterans and the challenges they endure in recovering from their grievous war time injuries and integrating back into a society.
