Campus School Safety and Emergency Preparedness Conference Starts February 25

QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John’s University in partnership with the United States Department of Homeland Security, FEMA Region II will host Urban Hazards Forum IV: Campus School Safety and Emergency Preparedness Conference February 25-26.

Held at the Taffner Field House at the Queens Campus, the conference will discuss the campus safety issues concerning the 270 colleges and universities in the New York and New Jersey areas, in conjunction with Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands from a National Security standpoint.

The conference will have representatives from the city, state and federal levels and serve as an informative and educational opportunity for university professionals and emergency response professionals. Personnel from area high schools can also benefit from participation and would be very welcome to attend.

The conference website will be operational in early January to register online and will include a list of guest speakers for the two-day forum.
