ALBANY, N.Y. — A former state University at Albany campus police officer was given five months of home confinement and three-years’ probation, as well as 50 hours of community service, for her role in the cultivation of 100 marijuana plants.
Wendy Knoebel’s attorney told Senior U.S. District Court Judge Frederick Scullin that Knoebel played a passive role in the marijuana growing operation on her property, the Times Union reports. Knoebel’s husband, Kenneth, pleaded guilty in December to the same charges as his wife and will be sentenced on May 22.
Knoebel resigned from the University of Albany on March 7.
