Police: Campus Officer Stole St. Patty’s Day Party Bus

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — A campus police officer from Patrick Henry High School was placed on paid leave Tuesday after she allegedly stole a shuttle bus and drove it drunk at the end of a St. Patrick’s Day party.

Jenifer Michelle Peckham, 37, is an 11-year employee of the San Diego Unified School District, San Diego 6 reports. She was socializing at a bar with a group of people who had arrived via bus with a designated non-drinking driver.

The driver reportedly became concerned about Peckham’s disruptive behavior, and attempted to speak with several sheriff’s deputies nearby. Peckham then allegedly got behind the wheel of the bus and drove off.
