High School Cop Leads Police on Car Chase

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — A Muskogee High School campus police officer was arrested Aug. 7 after leading police on a chase.

Douglas Ragsdale, who was driving a red pickup, reportedly entered into an altercation with the driver of a silver pickup at a gas station, the Muskogee Phoenix reports. When police arrived at the gas station, the silver pickup was gone, and Ragsdale was entering the red pickup. Ragsdale then drove away and did not pull over when police turned on their emergency lights.

Ragsdale ran a red light and pulled into the parking where the silver pickup had parked. Officers noticed he was holding a handgun. He was arrested on complaints of eluding police and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
