California School District Keeps Resource Officer Program

JACKSON, Calif. – The school resource officer position at Amador County School District will now be funded by the district and Sutter Creek Police Department (SCPD), according to Ledger-Dispatch. The program was in jeopardy of being terminated.

Previously, Jackson Police Department (JPD), the district and SCPD funded the position; however, due to budget cuts, JPD was unable to contribute.

The district and SCPD will pay $29,970 collectively to finance the position.
