SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill that prohibits the use of BB guns and pellet guns on college and university campuses Sept. 30.
AB 2470 says that any person who brings a less lethal weapon on campus, including a stun gun, without the permission of the college or university president or chancellor is guilty of a misdemeanor.
The California College and University Police Chiefs Association (CCUPCA) sponsored the legislation.
