An employee of a community college in California was arrested after police say he accidentally shot himself with a gun on campus June 10.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. local time at Solano Community College in northern California, reports kron4.com.
David Reese, 32, was charged with suspicion of bringing a gun on campus and carrying an unregistered gun after police discovered blood in an office on campus.

Reese was allegedly cleaning the gun in a first floor office when it went off and injured his hand. Reese then drove himself to Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center, where he was treated.
Deputies from the Solano County Sheriff’s Office initially locked the school down as they investigated the blood. Officers later contacted Reese and booked him in county hail.
It is illegal to bring guns on a college campus in California, and the fact that it was loaded should bring additional charges.
