WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance announces it is seeking applications for funding under the Edward Byrne Memorial Discretionary Grants Program.
This program assists state and local jurisdictions in improving the criminal justice system and assisting communities in preventing drug abuse and crime.
Applicants are limited to national, regional, state, or local public and private entities, including for-profit (commercial) and nonprofit organizations, faith and community-based organizations, institutions of higher education, tribal jurisdictions, and units of local government. Applicants for Category I must represent multi-jurisdictional proposals from state, local, or tribal law enforcement agencies.
