UPDATE: 6 in Custody After Shooting Near Pittsburgh High School

UPDATE at 3:20 (Pacific): Police say six people are now in custody but that they aren’t suspects in today’s shooting. They might not be charged, reports Fox News. The incident may be related to a fight over drugs that occurred in October.

PITTSBURGH — Three male students were shot today outside Brashear High School.

The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. as classes were being dismissed. One of the victims ran into the school and officials locked down the institution; the extent of their injuries is unknown. Another victim was shot in the neck and shoulder. The third victim was found with a gunshot wound to the leg near the school, TribLive.com reports.

Police have shut down several nearby streets as officers and K-9 units search the woods nearby for the shooter.

WPXI-TV is reporting that three men wearing black came out of the woods nearby and started shooting at the victims. All residents in the area are being ordered to stay inside and lock their doors. The victims are not cooperating with authorities.
