Austin Peay State U. Hires Police Chief

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Austin Peay State University has hired a new police chief and director of public safety.

Effective Sept. 9, Michael Kasitz will take over the role vacated by former police chief Terence Calloway, who left to serve as chief of police for Florida A&M University, Leaf-Chronicle reports.

Prior to joining APSU, Kasitz worked for Eastern Kentucky University as director of emergency management and as captain with the EKU police.
