Arizona College Introduces New Notification System

YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western College (AWC) has introduced a new emergency notification Web site on its campus.

The new site will offer public real-time information about events affecting the campus, from power outages to catastrophic events. The college’s police department will regularly update the site as new details of events become available.

According to AWC officials, visitors who are on the university’s Web site can click on a red banner, which will direct visitors to the AWC Police Department’s page.

Additionally, the notification system will feature still photos to go along with the text of the incidents occurring.
