American Signal Corporation (ASC), a designer and manufacturer of mass notification and emergency alert systems, announces the release of Clarity, an electronic siren designed for easy installation and use.

Clarity is a high powered, fully configurable voice and tone siren that can be customized with a variety of notifications. It provides clear directions and alerts, ensuring individuals are quickly warned of any impending threat, according to the company.

Due to its compact size — less than 23 inches wide and under 30 pounds — Clarity can be shipped using standard shipping methods (vs. using a semitrailer) and can be mounted without the use of heavy equipment.

The siren, ideal for university and college campuses, can be integrated with other technologies, such as ASC Aware desktop notification system and the ASC Sentinel mobile device alerts.

“The new Clarity siren is just another way ASC continues to provide innovative technology and solutions to help keep individuals safe worldwide,” said ASC Executive Vice President Richard Roe. “And while the Clarity siren has a wide range of applications, it’s an extremely powerful tool on college and corporate campuses.”

Additionally, Clarity can be integrated with ASC’s CompuLert™ NEXGen control platform, allowing emergency managers to activate and monitor the siren remotely.

CompuLert NextGen also integrates with the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Integrated Public Alert and Warning Systems (IPAWS), which provides life-saving information to the public. Emergency managers are able to customize the mass notification system to automatically activate based on inputs from IPAWS.
