Ala. School Security Guard Charged With Child Abuse
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Police charged a security guard at Pinnacle Schools, an alternative school, with torture and willful abuse of a child last Wednesday, in connection with the alleged beating of at least one of the students at the school.
Julian Boykin, 31, allegedly pulled several students out of class for talking on Oct. 10. As punishment, Boykin supposedly locked the boys in a room with himself and another security guard, and forced the boys to assume the plank exercise position, AL.com reports.
The students were told to do planks on the ground and if one fell, another student was punched in his sides, one student said.
