ADT Provides Free Security Checklist, Site Assessment

BOCA RATON, Fla. – To help provide a more safe and secure environment for learning, ADT Security Services Inc., a unit of Tyco Fire & Security, is offering schools a free security checklist and site survey to locate potential security problem areas.

The 12-step checklist is designed to help school administrators quickly and easily identify areas where a campus could be vulnerable to security breaches. Schools are asked to evaluate, among other things, the placement of video surveillance equipment, the protection of valuable property, the operation of critical systems and how entry points are secured.

After completing the checklist, school officials may request a complimentary security site survey conducted by a team of experienced ADT school security professionals.

“We can provide schools with a thorough assessment of their grounds, buildings, facilities and IT networks,” said Patrick Fiel, ADT’s public safety advisor for education. “This will give schools a clear idea of the specific challenges they face and the available choices they have to address them.”
