LINN, Mo. — The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and other groups filed a lawsuit on behalf of Linn State Technical College students after the college announced that students would be required to submit to a urine test this semester.
The ACLU has won a temporary injunction, The New York Times reports. The drug tests, which require a $50 fee per student, would detect marijuana, methamphetamines, cocaine and other substances, according to the college.
A hearing on the case is scheduled for Oct. 25.
