66 Additional Cameras Expected to Prevent Violence at Maryland School

EASTON, Md.—As many as 66 additional security cameras will be installed at Easton Middle School as a result of alleged assaults and threats involving students.

Though the school already has 30 cameras inside the facility, 40 more cameras will be installed inside and another 26 will be outside, reports WBOC.com. The cameras will be mounted at the end of the school year so students cannot see where they are being placed.

Many parents believe the cameras will deter violence.

Official accepted the lowest bid of $60,523 for the camera installations.
