LinkedIn is investigating a possible hack after millions of users’ passwords were reportedly leaked online.
A user on a Russian Web forum claimed to have downloaded 6,458,020 passwords to the site, ZDNet reports. The hackers may have access to user email addresses as well, according to a Finnish security firm. The emails are encrypted, but the hackers are allegedly crowd-sourcing help to break the encryption.
The hack affects less than 10% of LinkedIn 150 million users worldwide. Still, experts are recommending users change their passwords.
