LOS ANGELES – The following is a press release from 3n Global, which is sponsoring National Campus Safety Awareness Month during September.
In continued support of campus safety awareness initiatives at colleges and universities across the country, 3n Global, the leading mass notification solution provider, is sponsoring National Campus Safety Awareness Month (NCSAM) during the month of September.
This summer, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously approved a resolution designating September National Campus Safety Awareness Month. More than 350 colleges and universities are participating in the program, which was started in 2005 by Security on Campus, Inc., (SOC), a nonprofit organization combating violence, substance abuse and crime at colleges and universities nationwide. NCSAM has since become an initiative bringing college students and administrators together to raise awareness about campus safety issues.
3n also supports colleges and universities in their safety initiatives through webinars that educate diverse audiences on the vital role of communications in campus safety. An upcoming program highlight features renowned crisis communications expert Dr. Robert C. Chandler, chair of the Communications Division at Pepperdine University. Titled “How to Communicate During the Six Stages of a Crisis,” this webinar dissects the intersection of communication with the crisis lifecycle. All 3n webinars are free to those who register for the event. For more information or to register for upcoming webinars, please visit www.3nonline.com/webinars.
3n’s solution, 3n InstaCom(TM) Campus Alert, enables colleges and universities to effectively communicate with students, faculty, staff, and parents in minutes via all contact methods—including popular newer technologies, such as SMS text messaging, cell phones, BlackBerry, E-mail, and instant messaging.
“Clear and effective communication is critically important to campus security. By working with other industry leaders, 3n is driving the education and awareness necessary to help colleges and universities keep their campus communities safe,” said Cinta Putra, CEO of 3n Global.
