Authorities have arrested two suspects in the Friday shooting that injured three students outside of Rosemary Anderson High School.
Lonzo Deshawn Murphy, 22, was arrested on Saturday and has been identified as a person of interest in the shooting at the Portland alternative high school, reports the Washington Post. Police found a handgun in Murphy’s vehicle.
Marquel Dugas, 18, was also arrested on Saturday, but he hasn’t been formally charged in the shooting yet, reports OregonLive.com.
The shooting in question occurred on a street corner just outside of the school, reports the Huffington Post. The incident may have been preceded by an argument.
Taylor Michelle Zimmers, 16, was critically wounded, and David Jackson-Liday, 20, and Labraye Franklin, 17, were also hospitalized in fair condition. Another female was grazed by one of the bullets. All of the individuals who were injured are students or in job training programs.
Police believe the shooting is gang related.
