2nd Rape in 5 Months Reported at Florida Atlantic University
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University (FAU) police are investigating a report of a second sexual assault in five months.
On Feb. 26, a female student was parked behind FAU’s library when she was attacked by a man who forced her into her car and raped her.
The first assault happened in October. Both rapes occurred during the day. Since the first incident, police have handed out fliers regarding the attack. An escort program has also been established.
In response to the second attack, police are reminding those in the community to lock the doors to their rooms and not walk alone on campus.
