TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Two Florida A&M University professors have quit and several band members will be charged in the November hazing death of drum major Robert Champion.
Professors Anthony Simons and Diron Holloway resigned last week after receiving termination letters from the university, the Orlando Sentinel reports. The university would not confirm whether the professors had been dismissed after students told police that two professors were present during a 2010 hazing incident at Holloway’s home.
The charges against several band members will be announced today at a press conference, USA Today reports.
