SYCAMORE, Ill. — A patient and a visitor at Kindred Hospital Sycamore — a long-term acute-care hospital — were killed by gunshots Tuesday. One of the gunshots of was possibly self-inflicted.
Mario Engoglia and Susan Triezenberg had been in a long-term relationship before Engoglia moved into the hospital due to an illness, the Daily Chronicle reports. A witness discovered Engoglia and Triezenberg’s bodies inside the room on the main floor where Triezenberg was visiting.
Police are continuing to investigate whether the other death was from a self-inflicted gunshot.
