2 Hartford Teens Arrested In Plot To Murder 3 Other Students

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – Two Woodland School students were arrested Sept. 22 for plotting to murder three of their classmates.

Authorities say the suspects, Marquelle Johnson and Chris Dancy, both 16, were charged with three counts of conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a weapon, breach of peace and larceny by possession.

According to police, the plot revolved around on ongoing feud between the suspects and their intended victims. The alleged conspiracy was discovered after another student overheard Johnson and Dancy talking about their plans. The informant then told police about the plot.

Soon after, a loaded handgun was confiscated from one of the suspects by a school employee, and the campus was locked down for three hours. No one was injured during the incident.
