Two teenagers have been arrested in the shooting death of Melody Ross, a 16-year-old Wilson High School student who was shot and killed outside her Long Beach, Calif., school.

The two unnamed suspects may be tried as adults. According to police, the shooting was the result of a gang feud. Ross was just a bystander when shots were fired, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Two other victims, an 18-year old and 20-year old, are believed to be the intended targets of the shooting. Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Ross, an honor roll student, was struck by stray bullets as she left her school’s homecoming football game against cross-town rival Poly High.
